She Pulled Away, then Smiled

I pulled her close

she pulled away,

letting only her last finger

linger,

She turned to go

then turned to smile,

the distance being, nary a kilometer

closer to a mile,

I kissed her,

she hesitated, then kissed me back

then grabbed my wallet and ran,

Well worth it, I thought

being then the poorer

of us two

Well worth the kiss…….
